Construction of the eleven acre Phase One for the Gaily Luther DeGarmo Park was completed in 2007. This included parking, multi-use fields - two soccer and three softball, picnic shelter and restrooms. The park will be something of a northern twin to Community Park on the south side of town and will cover 36 acres when all phases are complete. Future phases will include more ball fields, an aquatic facility, outdoor basketball courts, two playgrounds and a recreation center.
