The Horseshoe Lake project was the redemption of the former Chico Rifle Range and Police Pistol Range. Land Image provided site layout consultation to the waste management engineer and drafted site layout options for the City of Chico. Careful consideration was taken in site layout within the already heavily used Bidwell Park. The parking lot serves as the main parking area for park users and had to be nestled between an existing oak tree grove, a wetland area, Horseshoe Lake and a swale source for the lake. Land Image also developed landscape construction documents for the project. Plant restoration elements include a native hydro seed application and oak tree seedlings.
