Riverbend Park is located between the Feather River and Highway 70 in Oroville, California. Land Image has been the lead consultant for the project since the master planning process began in 2000. Client services include master planning the 100-acre site; and construction documents and construction administration for a 36-acre phase one and two of the park. Conservation efforts include native preserving existing vegetation, elderberry shrubs, wetland areas and historical bridge abutments. Plant restoration involved specification of native tree, shrub and grass plantings; elderberry seedlings and elderberry transplants. Land Image is in the process of master planning an exciting addition to the park; the Feather River Research Center is planned to be a facility to study the effects of Oroville Damn on the river and its surrounding habitats. The research center is also being designed to provide research and interpretive programs for California State University Chico, Butte College and K through 12 schools
